Entourage not connected to Exchange

I have just upgraded the OS on a Powerbook G4 to 10.2.8 which is using
Entourage 2004 as the mail client. When I first setup the Exchange account
on this computer, it worked fine but now when I click on the Exchange
Account it says that it is not connected. Now all of the mail and user data
is being stored on the local machine instead of the Exchange Server. How do
I get it to sync back with Exchange?

This appears when Entourage has problems connecting to the server.
Sometimes when the settings changed (check the account settings) or when
trying to access a server from outside the network (eg: when I take my
laptop home). In this case, the server mioght refuse connection from
outside the LAN. The only option I could think of would be to use VPN to
connect to the LAN then try to get your e-mails,
