entourage not displaying tasks

I am running entourage 2004 with sp2 and running mac OS 10.4 on a
powerbook g4

I have task folders setup on an exchange 2003 server. I can see the
task folder, but the task is "greyed" out and will not let me see any
of the tasks. If i get on my windows computer taks are displayed no
problem. What might I do in order to fix this problem?

Hi Brian,

Tasks do not sync between the Exchange server and Entourage. You can create
tasks locally in Entourage though.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, I upgraded all my mac users
who could once see inside public folders with outlook for mac are now
unable to with entourage? If microsoft does not support that feature
are there any companies that do, seeing as how this is a somewhat
needed aspect for my mac users on our network.

You should be able to work with public folders as a whole. Task objects in
those folders, however, will remain unusable in Entourage for the time
being.
