Entourage Not recognizing Connection

I am running Entourage 2004 on a Mac G4 -- set up accounts to connect to a
1and1.com server -- no problems until suddently my default account will not
send or receive -- mail I write is dumped immediately into outbox, and send
fails. Have checked all settings -- made no changes that would have caused
this that I know of. Server is up -- am able to use the webmail service no
problem....

Maybe lightning, huh?

Poltergeists....
any advice?

Who are you using for an ISP? Have they set up a 'port 25/110' hijack
service to stop you accessing other mail services when connected through
them?

Did you restart Entourage?

Works for me, when it happens.
