Entourage not responding after closing while send/receive runs

After clicking send/receive in Entourage, I realized my internet
connection was down. I shut down Entourage and received a warning
message about a mail waiting to be sent (or something similar, it
seemed routine so I ignored). After repairing my connection, I started
Entourage again but it came up and stopped responding. I've tried
rebooting but to no avail. Any ideas?

Try holding down the shift key during launch to prevent startup schedules
from firing.
