Hi All

im having a little problem with one of my MAC users, whereby they cannot send certain email, it comes up with an error and does not send nor save it to the sent items folder. for some reason some of the recipients do recieve the emails, but the last one which was sent yesterday did not get to either of the two recipients. we have an exchange environment, with windows servers... any help on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Can you be more specific about "certain email"? Meaning, do they have
attachments? Are they trying to send a script or executable file? Are
they large in size?

Are you saying they get a bounce-back message from only certain users?
(It should still go into the Sent folder even if you're getting a
bounceback message).

I've had this problem in the past with MS Exchange. It ended up that
the IMF (Intelligent Messaging Filter) was too aggressive. You might
try tweaking your IMF settings. Ours are set to the following:

Block messages with an SCL rating greater than or equal to: 7
Move messages with an SCL rating greater than or equal to: 5

the emails do have attachments and they are no more than 2MB, it is intermittent as it isnt the same email address of the same email that doesnt send. we have a limit set for certain users on email but this specific user has no limit to the attachment size.

The user doesnt get any Delivery failure messages, rather a "pop-up" error as he clicks send.

As for the IMF settings on my exchange server, they are fine...
Delete messages with an SCL rating of 9 and over
Quarintine messages with an SCL rating of 7

so im not sure why he is experinecing this... hope this helps in any way to come to a possible resolution.
