Entourage opening all by itsownself

OS 10.4.7, Entourage 11.2.5

I no longer use it. It is still on my dock.

Every once in a while (daily? every other day? not sure) it launches
all by itself and I don't know what's triggering it. The Office
Notifications thing still alerts me to stuff on my Entourage calendar,
but I haven't noticed a correlation to those reminders and the app
opening.

Whaddaya think?

Do you have it set to launch automatically in your login items under
your user account? If so, each time you reboot, Entourage will start.

Check for some third-party launcher that schedules events, like iKey or
Keyboard Maestro. Other possible culprits: EntourageABMenu,
MenuCalendarClock for Entourage, Quicksilver, or LaunchBar.

I have seen several complaints lately about MenuCalendarClock launching
Entourage every time it checks for events (whether or not there are any
events).

Let us know if this is the problem.

Nope.
It just did it again, 10:28 p.m. Machine's been on for hours.

Thanks, Diane. How would I know about the MenuCalendarClock thing? I
have it on my menu bar.

And again just now at 7:04 a.m., Saturday. Out of nowhere pops up the
splash screen. It's an annoyance, but not the end of the world, I guess.

Thanks, Diane. How would I know about the MenuCalendarClock thing? I

It looks like a small calendar page with the numeral 19 on it. Purple top
margin. I find that the only way to get rid of it is to go into Activity
Monitor, select it there in the list, and click the Quit button. You may
have to force quit it. Look in your Account prefs, login items, and remove
it from there if it is there. Otherwise it will come back at next startup.

At the risk of asking the obvious, you're not clicking an email address link
on a web page somewhere, are you?
