Entourage/Outlook Calendar Anomoly

We are running Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise SP2. Most users have PCs with
Outlook 2003. Several users (most of the big brass) use Macs with Entourage
2004. The users have assistants that have PCs running Outlook 2003. I have
noticed that when an Entourage client is the invitee of a meeting, the
meeting gets on their calendar as "tentative", and the user sees the meeting
on his Entourage calendar. If the assistant accepts the meeting on Outlook,
it changes to "busy" on the Outlook calendar, but disappears from the
Entourage calendar. If the assistant then changes the meeting back to
"tentative", the item reappears on the Entourage calendar. What is going on
here??? Interestingly enough, if the Entourage user accepts the meeting and
it goes from tentative to busy, the meeting remains on his calendar, but if
the assistant then changes the status to tentative from Outlook, the entry
in Entourage disappears. If the assistant then accepts the meeting again,
the meeting reappears on the Entourage calendar! There is another scenario
(I can't remember what it is now) where depending on what the assistant
does, there are 2 entries on the Outlook calendar for the same meeting, and
only one on the Entourage calendar.

Can someone explain to me what is happening? Also, are there any plans from
Microsoft to allow Entourage users to accept meetings from the Calendar
entries (just like Outlook users can do now)??
