Entourage - OWA/Exchange

We've recently upgraded from entourage x to entourage2004
and have been very pleased with the improved stability.
Unfortunately it looks like the new entourage (for some
reason) goes through the proxy and hits the exchange
server as though it were updating through OWA. Anyone have
any ideas with this? This is creating undo work for our
proxy....

That's how it works now. The application uses WebDAV on the OWA server for
Exchange e-mail. It doesn't use IMAP anymore. Anyway, the application was
also using WebDAV for address book and calendar synching before. You never
had the problem with version X ??

No, it wasnt noticed before - probably because the
calendar sync had no where near the volume as people
checking thier mail...
