Entourage Password Error

Hi there

I have a very weird problem with Entourage 2004. it always tells me to
re-enter the password like:
Logon failure: unknown username or bad password. Your username/password or
security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your
password?
If I re-enter the password i get the same message.

BUT: if i change the e-mail adress in the exchange-server properties back to
the original mac e-mail adress ([email protected]) the error is gone and i can
connect to exchange instantly, but then i cant send email anymore.
if i change it back to my exchange mail adress it's working till i restart
entourage.

we've 3 macs and they all have the same problem.
all have os x 10.4 and ms office 2004 with sp2
the exchange server is an external one so i can't make any changes there.
the provider tells me none of its mac customers have that problem.

i tried almost every settings combination but none worked.

please help

Opent he Keychain Access application and in the Keychain Access menu,
use the First Aid command to repair your keychain,

If this doesn't fix the problem, delete the entry corresponding to your
Exchange account in there to let Entourage create a fresh new one.
Hopefully it will do the trick.
