Entourage problems due to update software download

Please forgive if I don't explain this correctly. I've never had a problem
like this. When my computer (iBook G4) downloaded a few software updates
(all I remember is iTunes, but I know there were others) it totally
disrupted Entourage. I cannot receive mail. My mac guru queen cannot help
until tonight so I'm tossing the question out here. Can anyone help? I think
I need to do something, but what? Totally lost in Chicago.

You need to supply us with details. What exactly happens when you try
to receive mail?

You can see what was installed in System Preferences --> Software Update -->
Click on ³Installed Updates² tab.

You might need to download the combo updater from Apple and run it again
rather than using Software Update. Doing so overwrites potentially
problem-causing files. Several users have reported this fixed some odd
problems they were having with Entourage. Combo updaters will install on the
same version as they¹re applying‹no need to roll back or do a clean install.

The combo update installer updates Mac OS X 10.4, 10.4.1, 10.4.2, 10.4.3,
10.4.4, 10.4.5, 10.4.6, 10.4.7, or 10.4.8 to 10.4.9.
