Entourage puts back meetings that have beencanceled and processed from Outlook/Exchange

At work I have to use a PC with Outlook 2003. When I get meeting cancelations I process them through Outlook and it removes them from my calendar. Now when I have to work from home off hours I VPN into our network fully and when my Entourage starts it syncs all of the canceled meetings back into Outlook/Exchange. Is there a setting I can use to stop this from happening? I would like Entourage to sync from Exchange, not to Exchange... I hope I am making sense...

If you see this in just one or a handful of folders then right-click or
Control-click that folder or Calendar, select Folder Properties and
click the Empty button to empty the cache. You can also select the
account itself and empty the cache for all of your folders.
