Entourage Question

I am using entourage v 10.1.4 with a Mac OS X v 10.3.9.

Spell check has stopped working (it is greyed out in the preferences)
as is the case in Word also.

I tried a repair on disk utility, but no joy.

I can't select any dictionaries to prioritise which one i should be
using

Any tips/ ideas?
