Entourage quits on startup

Hi
When i tried to change identities within Entourage today (which I do
regularly) it told me I had to rebuild the database (this has occasionally
happened before), after the simple rebuild it requested an advanced
rebuild. After that Entourage crashes on startup after the splash
screen.

If i remove the Database folder and even the Microsoft User Data it still
happens (but has time to make new folders before crashing). I can
start Word without problems. I am running OS X 10.2.8 - Word says it
is Service Release 1 (I can't remember what updates I have applied
since new how can i tell).

What should I do next! Help please!
Thanks

Possible problems:

* Corrupt preferences. Move the 'Microsoft' folder out of your local
preferences folder and try again.
* Microsoft Database daemon (check in login items. If you have more than
one delete all)

Sounds like you are behind on your updates. Go to the Version page for all
updating info. You might consider using "Remove Office" then updating. This
way you would have a good install of Office. It also removes preferences.
You will need your CD key too.

Version Info for Entourage.
