Entourage quits when receiveing messages

Entourage 10.1.1 on OS 10.2.8 is suddenly quitting when I'm importing
messages. The task bar progresses about 1/8 of an inch and then
entourage quits. Could it be a corrupt email coming in?

By the way, before someone asks why I haven't updated, I can't update
entourage yet. I haven't been able to use the updaters, so I think I
need to reinstall from the CD. Long story. I don't have my original
CD's because they are in a container being shipped to me.

I had the same problem and spent several hours on the phone help lines
between Earthlink, Macintosh and Microsoft. Ugh! 5 hrs total.

MS guy finally had me go to the left panel under "on My Computer and there
was a server Icon under most of the stuff and click twice on it and delete
all or the emails, One was probably corrupted he siad or one I sent out.
Then closed out and reopened to make sure all were gone. They all
disappeared and then the icon has now vanished.

At least I can send and receive emails again. I was getting panicky.

I didn't quite understand what you mean by there being a server icon
under most of the stuff. I'm trying to delete any sent mail or deleted
mail. Funny thing is I'm now trying to repair my husband's entourage.
My user side has been fixed. I think I fixed it by logging in via
webmail and viewing and deleting mail. I think a corrupt email is
trying to come in? I'm not sure what else I did. I did rebuild the
database on each side. I'll have my husband access his email account
via webmail and delete the emails and see if that does the trick.

This is actually a follow up to my former posting. It was a corrupted
email. I went and deleted junk emails off the server via webmail and
the problem was immediately solved. Thanks for your help.
