Entourage redownloads all emails on Server

I had hoped MS would have got this sorted out...

why does this happen? ALL my mails on the server were delivered, nicely, AGAIN to my Inbox.

I am really frustrated with Entourage...

Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi Peter!

This isn't always Entourage's fault. If your server is reset or restored
for some reason then your messages will appear to Entourage as new.

I suggest you edit your POP account (Tools --> Accounts...) and reduce
the length of time you're leaving the messages on the server or download
them and delete them immediately.

If your ISP offers IMAP instead of POP then you can leave your messages
on the server and they will be synchronized instead.
