entourage relaying problems

I am unable to 'relay' within entourage. Not sure what this means but it is
preventing me from replying to sender!

Any advice would be appreciated.

If this is a POP or IMAP account...make sure you are using the
outgoing SMTP server belonging to the ISP to which you are physically
connected (by modem or network). Another possibility is that the
server you're using requires authentication.

If this is an Exchange account, check with your administrator to make
sure your outgoing server settings are correct.
