Entourage sending IMAP email into my POP inbox into it's own

Hello

I am confused as to why this has started happening, but Entourage has
started sending my IMAP (.mac) email into my POP email inbox, and
marking the emails as deleted within the IMAP box. Does anyone know why
this would have started happening?

I've not made any changes to account settings; the only thing I can
think might have happened is an odd drag and drop. Someone has
suggested rules and schedule settings: i use no rules - but in the
schedules, the send/receive all on that mac.com IMAP send/recieve
options had got Inbox (not sure which of the inboxes it referred to)
set to "synchronize" - though toggling that on and of and sending a
test email gave the same problem in both states.

For clarity, my Entourage is set up as to have two inboxes shown in the
folders view: the POP inbox within 'folders on my computer' and the
IMAP mac.com as a separate online inbox.

How is Entourage moving the mail and marking it as deleted?!

Many thanks for any help

Paul

You must have a rule that is moving the message. The most likely culprit is
the Mailing List Manager - it's too easy to set up a MLM rule by accident,
when you are marking a message as 'not junk' - the wording of that dialog is
ambiguous to say the least. Check if there is an MLM entry (look for MLM
entries under the tools menu) with the local inbox as the target folder. If
there is, delete it and all should be back to normal.
