Whenever I send an original message (one that is not a reply or forward)via my AOL account, when I go to the Sent Item folder there are two copies of the sent email. As I result I have a large accumulation of emails in that folder since I only file one of the copies in its designated folder.
Question---why is this happening and how can I prevent it in the future (N.B. I have a similar Sent Items folder for my gmail account and this does not occur)?
Is there any way I can discard all of these several hunded extra copies without deleting them one-by-one?
