Entourage Shutting Down

Dear all,

Has anyone had any difficulties with Entourage shutting down under its
own free will?

This is the problem I have. I open Entourage, it stays open until I
click "Send and Receive", emails starts to download and all of a
sudden the whole program closes. It happens all the time, just not on
the odd occasion.

It sounds like a virus but I have the latest updates and found no
problems. All my other applications are running as they should.

Has anyone else experienced this difficulty and any tips on resolving
it?

If you are crashing on receiving mail, it could be due to a corrupt
message on the server. Work through the steps on the "Crashes" page on The
Entourage Help Page.

Please let us know if the tips to disable the Junk Mail Filter (Tools ->
Junk Mail Filter) and disable rules (Tools -> Rules) worked, as that's a
possible workaround to this problem, and knowing whether it works could help
to eliminate the problem in future releases. If that doesn't solve the
problem, try the steps below to Allow Online Access and delete the message.
