No matter the options tried (deleting, creating new, etc), I can't get my simple name signature to appear in either newly created emails or replies/forwards. Help, please!

What do you mean by name signature? Is it a graphics file? Did you create
a signature file first (Tools > Signatures)? If it's a graphics file
signature, all you need to do is hit Tools > Signatures then drag the
signature graphic from Finder into the new signature box.
Make sure also that you are using HTML to create your email AND for all
replies. A graphic signature will not show up in text.

Click on Tools>Accounts, double-click your account, go to the Options tab
and choose your default signature from the dropdown list. Every new message
you create in that account now automatically includes your signature.

Open your Account under Tools --> Options tab in the menu bar. Be sure you
have selected the sig you want to use from the popup.

Did you follow all of the suggestions above?
Please give more details so we can help you. Just saying it doesn't work
doesn't give us much to go on.
