Entourage SP2 + Global Address List

According to Microsoft, the Microsoft Exchange enhancements in SP 2
should allow the user to browse the Global Address List in Entourage.
Does anyone know if this integration is automatic, or are there
settings that must be changed manually? I still cannot see my company's
Global Address List after installing SP 2. In addition, I noticed that
the "Directory Services" option disappeared under the Tools menu after
the upgrade, so now I seem to have no method of even searching the
Global List. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

The Global Address List should appear in the the left pane under "Address
Book [On My Computer]" when you have the Address Book open.

Make sure you have the "Directory Settings" under the "Advanced" tab in your
Exchange account settings set up properly.

Are you running Windows2k AD or Windows2k3 AD? With 2k you can search
the GAL but you can't browse until you are running 2k3.

I am having the same issue:

Exchange is running on Win2k3 AD - Entourage is version 11.2.1

I can see the top level listing for the GAL - but there is no content

The old configuration should work in many cases even after installing SP2.
The Directly Service dialog is now in Address Book view. It's not as a
dialog, but as an address book. Check out the list of Address Books in
Address Book view.
In ordert to browse Global Address Book, your server needs to be Exchange
2003 and Exchange 2000 does not support it.
