Entourage suddenly stopped sending hotmail email

I hope you can help me with this one. Last week sometime I
inexplicably found myself unable to send an email from my hotmail account
using Entourage. It was working fine for a year. I am able to receive hotmail
email OK. I am able to send email from other accounts in Entourage but not
from any of several hotmail accounts. I am able to send email in a hotmail
account if I log onto hotmail.com and use the web page so the problem is
most likely with Entourage. The error message reads:

Error
Mail could not be sent using the account "[email protected]."
Explanation
HTTP error. Access to the resource has not been authorized.
Error: 1401

I have not fiddled with Entourage or any of the hotmail accounts, nor have I
updated the OS around this time or installed any software, the problem
suddenly cropped up. I'm running OS10.3.3 and Entourage version 10.1.4
(030702) which is the latest patch for Entourage, a patch was the first thing
I looked for. This has been going on for a week now so it is not an internet
hiccup.
