Entourage sync and problems with calendar views

The sync options are not present under the Entourage preferences pane.
The Microsoft Synchronization daemon is not running and /Applications/
Microsoft Office 2004/Office/Microsoft Synchronization is a PowerPC
exe and cannot be manually started via the shell. Does anyone have a
solution for this?

Also in calendar, is it possible to set the default views so that each
hour is divided into quarter hour intervals?

Are both your system and Entourage up-to-date? You will need a version of
Mac OS X 10.4 later than 10.4.4, I believe, and Entourage needs to be at
version 11.2.3 or above. If everything is up-to-date, then see if reapplying
the 11.3.3 combo updater and/or the 11.3.4 security update makes the
preferences show up.

Thank you for your reply. I believe they are current, both computer
and software were purchased new and delivered this week. Before I try
applying these patches is there anything else that may be preventing
the Synchronization daemon from starting?

That's unfortunate :-( Does anybody have any tips for scheduling
quarter hour appointments?
