Entourage sync w/ Palm

I am running Palm Desktop 4.1 and Microsoft Office 10.1.2 upgraded
through 10.1.5 on a Apple Mac G5 running OS X. I have performed all
available updates to Microsoft Office, Palm and OS X.

When I set up Entourage I linked the HotSync Conduit to my Palm
software. After the first 'Sync' the software no longer 'syncs' w/
Entourage. The Palm Address, Calendar and Notes will no longer sync
w/ the handheld and they do not have icons in the Conduit Manager
setup dialog box. The Conduit Manager shuts down every time it gets to
the Entourage part of the Sync. I pasted the last Sync Log below.

I would like to use the Palm software primarily but still have the
Palm Sync w/ the Entourage software. Is there a 'fix'?

Hello "jaX,"

You can't sync with both Entourage and Palm Desktop. You have to choose one
or the other for some reason or another. For this, there is no "fix."

You can however, troubleshoot which conduits are giving you the headache by
manually removing them from the conduits folder. You will find this folder
located at <hard drive>/Library/Application Support/Palm Hotsync/Conduits.
All your conduits are in here, and you can remove them one at a time and try
hotsyncing again. When your lock up quits, the conduit your removed is the
trouble maker, or maybe it is interfering with another conduit. You can mix
and match.

Good luck,

Walt
