Entourage Time Difference - displaying incorrectly

I have both Outlook 2003 on my IBM laptop and Entourage 2004 on my MAC.
Both are set up to access the same Hotmail accounts, and both seem to
be retrieving messages correctly except for one small annoyance.

The time received for the messages does not agree between the two
clients. Outlook displays the correct time for eash message. For
example, my horoscope arrives nightly in my hotmail account. When
checking Outlook, the correct time is displayed (i.e. if the message
arrived at 1am, it correctly displays 1am)

The exact same message in Entourage says it arrived at 8pm the
preceding evening, which is entirely inaccurate. I am still running
Outlook because Entourage doesn't seem to to have all the bugs worked
out of it yet. Can you advise what might be causing these times to be
displayed incorrectly and how one might go about fixing this? My work
is time sensitive, and I can not afford to miss deadlines, etc because
Entourage can't seem to get it's times straight.

Any help appreciated!

Differences like this are usually due to one of two circumstances...

1. Check that the date & Time system prefs have you in the correct time
zone, not just the clock set to your own local time. If you need to adjust
the time zone you will need to restart entourage to get it to recognise the
changes. Also check you entourage preferences to see that the default time
zone for new events is set to the correct time zone.

2. similar problems will arise if you are using an exchange account and the
exchange server is in a different time zone to you - in this case you will
see a yellow advisory bar at the top of the message stating that the event
is in a different time zone and the display of the time has been adjusted to
suit - unfortunately, there's not a lot you can do about this.
