Entourage unexpectedly quits and will NOT OPEN!?

I've been using Entourage for a little more than a year. Today, it
unexpectedly closed and now it will not open? It opens for one second,
then unexpectedly closes!? I tried the <option> click, typical
rebuild...no luck. Then I tried the advanced rebuild...still no luck!
Help!! I have 6,000 plus entries in my database and I am freaking out!

You don't mention which version of Entourage you are using. Check this page
for solutions for Entourage X and 2004:

One new trick with Entourage 2004 is that you can start it up from default
settings - i.e. with Send & Receive All schedule OFF (Manual only) - by
holding down the Shift key at startup - like "Extensions Off" when starting
up your Mac. That allows Entourage to launch without crashing in situations
like this. If this is the problem, you need to look for a corrupt message on
your server. See the crashes page on how to find bad message.
