Entourage unexpectedly quitting after trying to open a message with images

I am running Entourage 10.1.4 on Mac OS 10.2.8.

For some reason, whenever I am trying to open an email which contains
images (such as HTML messages) Entourage freezes for about three
seconds and then unexpectedly quits. This is reproducible.

Other messages with just plain text open without a problem.

I tried rebuilding the database, repairing permissions, and throwing
away preferences.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've been having the very same problem but can get no response from
Microsoft or Apple. If I download the messages with another email
application, no problem. Once I clear the server, I can use Entourage. It is
very frustrating and I am on the verge of dumping Entourage and switching
to something more stable.
If you find a solution, please let me know.

I have also noticed that Internet Explorer is unexpectedly quitting
before a browser even opens.

Safari works perfectly.

I guess whatever is the problem is targeting only Microsoft products.

Any suggestions?

If you can attach the source of the message here, that'd be helpful. Turn
off the preview pane, select the message, the choose View:Source. Select
All, Copy, paste.
