Entourage v.X with Exchange 5.5

Anyone know if the Global Address List will work under Exchange server
5.5? It seems to be able to access the information, since it wil
"QuickFill" the addresses of users by their names, but I can't seem to
look anything up on the list itself. Any ideas?

I may just have mis-configured the LDAP portion of the Exchange server
setup, but since I was unable to find any relevant information, I was
mostly guessing at the appropriate settings...

Very helpful site, thanks for the link.

By the way, the "QuickFill" that Entourage was doing was not pulling
information from the server after all, but rather from emails that had
already been recieved. Nice to know that it is able to do it, but I
misunderstood what it had been doing and wanted to clarify.

Exchange Server 5.5 does have LDAP available and set up, but Entourage
wants to use Active Directory in conjuction with LDAP to work
properly.

I wish Microsoft had just done what they usually do and just slap a
new face on their previous version of Office (2001) which worked great
with Exchange 5.5 - oh well.

That's only if you have LDAP configured in your Exchange account. Exchange
accounts in Entourage will *not* work with Exchange Server 5.5. You need to
set up a standard Directory Service account. Go to Tools -> Accounts, click
the "Directory Service" tab, and click New. Create a standard account for
your LDAP server with the proper settings, and you should have success.
