After rebuilding my database, i was able to use Entourage for a few
hours and than it crashed, and now each time i attempt to open it, it
crashes. Microsoft does not offer technical support for Office v X
anymore, can anyone let me know how i can get the browser to work ?
thanks.

Entourage may be set to run a schedule at start up that's causing the
problem. Hold down the option key when you launch Entourage and see if that
allows you to use Entourage. Chances are there's a corrupt message in the
outbox that crashed Entourage every time the application tries to send it.
If that is the case, deactivate the preview pane (View>Preview Pane), delete
the message in the outbox, empty the Deleted Items folder and re-enable the
preview pane. If that doesn't solve your problem, post back.

Hi Suzan,

I've just realised that I made a mistake earlier on; to disable start up
items, you need to hold down the *Shift* key, not the *Option* key. Since it
seems to be working now, your database was most likely corrupt, so you would
have had to rebuild it anyway. Just keep the Shift method in mind for future
reference. I'm glad that I was able to help, in spite of the fact that my
advice was, strictly speaking, incorrect.

Holding down the Shift key to disable schedules only works in Entourage
2004, I believe. People using Entourage X would be better off disconnecting
their network/internet connections, though that is not as efficient a
method.
