Entourage w/ Exchange

Had an Entourage client to Exchange configured in Preferences to delete
Calendar data older than 3 days. This has been on for probably a long
time and working as designed, dutifully deleting past events. My
Exchange backups are only kept for a month but now the user needs
calendar data from a year ago??? I would normally tell them no way off
the bat, but this is the CEO and so I'm grasping at straws here...

I've found through online searches that sync services to .Mac or iCal
could potentially hold some of this information. I also need to find
out if the user has Time Machine configured on that home computer.

Other than that, can anyone think of anything else? Regardless of how
much of a long shot it may be... Yes, I'm desperate :)

Thanks,
Pete.

Good for you for being diligent in trying but I think you will probably
have to disappoint your client.

This would have to be enabled in Entourage under Entourage menu -->
Preferences... Sync Services.

The easiest way to check would simply be to have the CEO open iCal and
look for his appointments there. If he doesn't see them then this avenue
is closed.

Time Machine is a Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) feature. Leopard was not
released until October 26, 2007. He won't have any Time Machine backups
from before that time. No backup system existed in Mac OS X 10.4.

The only other possibility would be to find someone else who attended
the specific meeting events your CEO wants to recover. Possibly, someone
else has these events in his calendar. Check paper records and planner
book records too if you know anyone who may have them.

Hope this helps!
