Every time I try to OPEN Entourage, I get the error "the program
unexpectadly quit" and Entourage closes down. Help.
I have re-installed EN, and still get the same error message.
There are two possibilities: either a corrupt message is trying to download
At Startup, or else you have a corrupt database. It's probably no.1.
1. Go to /Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/Microsoft folder and remove
Entourage Preferences and Entourage Settings (10) files. That should turn
off your Send & Receive All Schedule at startup, See if you can launch now.
If so, follow the steps here:

and press command-K to Receive All. I expect you will have to do the second
set of instructions - Online Access , turn off Preview Pane, and delete the
corrupt message. Follow the steps on that page.
2. If removing the Preferences files still didn't let you launch Entourage,
you have database corruption. Hold down the Option key at launch and select
Advanced Rebuild. That should fix it.
