Entourage will not quit

Following the recent Office updates I can onloy get out of Entourage
using Force Quit. Any suggestions? I have rebuilt the database but
this has made no difference.

Open the Activity Monitor in your Utilities folder. Select % CPU. Is
Entourage hung or the Microsoft Database daemon hung? If the daemon is hung,
try force quitting it and see if that helps. If yes, delete the preference

~/Library/Preferences/: com.microsoft.DatabaseDaemon.plist

You might need to download the combo updater from Apple and run it again
rather than using Software Update. Doing so overwrites potentially
problem-causing files. Several users have reported this fixed some odd
problems they were having with Entourage.

The combo update installer updates Mac OS X 10.4, 10.4.1, 10.4.2, 10.4.3,
10.4.4, 10.4.5, 10.4.6, 10.4.7, or 10.4.8 to 10.4.9.
