Entourage will not see my old contacts

hey

i have a problem with my entourage. I had a Power Book Titanium before
which just lost, but i have a back up of my emails and so on. But now
when i have the new MacBook Pro, i get a newer version of the software,
and when i copy in the folders with mails and so on, there comes
nothing up afterward. I would like to knwo if anybody have an idea how
to get it back......

Try selecting 'Switch Identity' from the Entourage menu and see if another
identity shows up - this may be the one that holds your data.

Is the version of Entourage the same on the MacBook Pro as it was on the old
computer? If it's an upgrade you will need to Import the data. Be sure to
update Entourage to the latest version 11.2.6.

You can import from an older version to a newer version.
You cannot import from a newer version to an older version.
You cannot import from the same version of Entourage.

You need to find the Identity folder. Find that in your backups, copy that
to your new M'Book Pro in the "Office 2004 Identities" folder. Then when you
open Entourage go under the Entourage menu, select Switch Identities, then
select the name of it which might be "Main Identity"
