Entourage with Exchange 2003 deleted items anomaly

I've got a user with Entourage 2008 with Exchange 2003, and even though he
has emptied his deleted items, if you look at the folder properties it shows
as more than 300 MB in his deleted items. If you look in OWA it also shows
no items in the user's deleted items. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Perhaps there is a subfolder of the Deleted Items folder? Look for a
triangle.

Is it possible that Folder Properties is just wrong? What does the
Exchange Server show on the admin side?
