I'm using Entourage v10.1.4 on an 800mghz iMac using OS X v10.2.8. For the
past week or two Entourage will not open after the computer first starts up.
The opening title screen comes up, but then it just sits there until I force
quit. The work around is to hold down the Option key and rebuild the
database each time. I've tried both types of rebuild numerous times. If I
close Entourage it will re-open just fine. The problems occur only on the
first attempt. I have done the First Aide permissions fix, and I've cleaned
out a lot of old inbox and sent messages, but nothing helps. Adding to the
mystery is that under my wife's user ID Entourage opens and performs just
fine. Any clues out there? I don't think that I should have to rebuild the
database everyday, should I? Suggestions/solutions would be most
appreciated.
