Entourage won't save default port override

My ISP now requires SSL connection. I selected SSL in the POP
settings, I also selected Override Default Port (port 995), but it
will not keep the setting. Entourage struggles to connect, but
sometimes it connects as normal. Any suggestions??

Evidently you type it in but do not check the box. The info was provided by
a user that shared his experience setting up.
