Entourage won't save event correctly

I'm hoping someone can explain this very weird occurrence. Entourage 2004,
Mac OSX 10.2.8.

I'm trying to set up a recurring event for April 3 - my Mum's birthday.

Entourage is only saving it as April 2. I've deleted that entry and
recreated a new Event ... It just refuses to be saved on April 3 and goes
back to April 2 on my calendar.

All other birthdays show up correctly ... Why won't this?

Any suggestions for a solution?

Thanks

Because of the Daylight Savings Time change this year on April 3. Entourage
doesn't know about the 2 AM time change in your local time zone - it seems
to think everyone is in GMT and then working backwards from there to local
time zone, back to front. It moves times an hour earlier beginning from 12
AM your local time to what would be 10 AM GMT. Since all-day events like
birthdays begin at 12:00 AM, it's moved backwards 1 hour to 11 PM the night
before (April 2), which shifts it to the day before (April 2) as seen in
the calendar. If you open the event, you'll see it correctly says 12 AM on
April 3. with a banner to say that the time zones don't match but that the
Calendar will show it correctly (!). Which is wrong. It's a bug. If you look
ahead to next year 2006, it should look OK. It's a on-time thing only - or
until the next year where DST begins o April 3. By which time the bug
should be fixed.
