entourage won't send mail

I cannot send email message from Entourage. I have played with all the
settings, but I still get a message that says "server timed out."

I am using a pop account, and I configured the account settings as
required.

Tos end e-mails, it's the SMTP server settings that really matter. You
need to make sure everything is OK there.
Sometimes, you have no other choice but to use the SMTP server of your
ISP. That might be the reason why you have trouble sending e-mails,
