entourage won't start

Everytime I try to launch entourage I get the following message:
"You do not have write access to the Entourage application folder. To
run Entourage you must have the administrative user remove the
identities folder from the application folder."
1. I am the administrative user. 2. Removing the identities folder from
the "Application Support" folder - where it was located - has no effect.
Other than this, I have attemped deleting preferences - and anything
else related to Entourage. I have de-installed and re-installed the
program and get the same result. I am pretty computer savvy, but I
have no clue how to get this program to run!

I had this problem as well. My pref at:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.internetconfig.plist was locked, and
unlocking this did the trick. Back in the Jaguar days, there was a problem
that browsers wouldn't remember the proper homepage, and defaulted back to
apple.com. If you set your pref, then locked this file, it would remember
your correct homepage. This was the case for me, as I locked the file under
Jag,

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, the file wasn't locked - I haven't
altered any of these files. I am using Jaguar (10.2.8). I have tried
repairing permissions - removing the com.apple.internetconfig.plist
file. I still get the same result.
