Entourage working in Exchange environment

All of the Macs in our school are trying to use Entourage as their email
program. We go through an exchange server, and we get very erratic
service.

We can go for weeks when all of a sudden we can't connect for a couple of
hours then it comes back.

The IT people always say there was no change on the server.

What is going on?

Hi Barbara,

Can you be a bit more specific as to the issue?

Are the users not getting emails? Are they not able to sync their Calendar
or Address Book? Are they getting any error messages?

Entourage is using IMAP, SMTP and WebDAV to communicate, so depending on the
specific symptoms it could be anyone of the three and could be caused by
various issues.
