Entourage X database corruption problem

Hi Everyone,

I've got a situation that I'd much appreciate your help with if you
have any advice...
I've searched the web and the group archives, but haven't found a
solution that's worked for me yet...

So, I synced my palm to Entourage the other day, it erased everything
off my Palm (since Entourage decided it couldn't access it's own data)
and then Entourage closed and stopped being able to access the db.

I've tried typical rebuilds (which fail - both with and without the MS
preferences folder moved)

Advanced rebuilds (with and without the preferences folder moved) seem
to complete successfully, but Entourage still can't access the db
afterwards.

I'm running OS X 10.2.8 and Office 10.1.4 and my db is ~1.1Gb

I'm not so much worried about the mail, as much as my address book,
calendar data, etc. Is there any way to recover this stuff, or am I
pretty much screwed?

I've tried resetting/fixing permissions (both with disk utility and
manually) I've basically tried everything I've found online....all to
no avail. I guess I should have known better than to trust the
application, and I should have done better backups.

nonetheless, I'd really appreciate any help you've got for me.

PS - I can get Entourage to open up with a new identity (basically
starting from scratch with a new DB, etc.) But I want my old info :)
I've got the old DB and DB Cache files saved.
