Entourage X Duplicates Received Emails

Suddenly my Entourage X has started duplicating me received email. My ISP
says that the problem lies within Entourage. I can¹t figure it out. On the
forum several people say the problem is with the ISP ??? HELP!

When this happened to me, it was a filter I'd created to move email
meeting its criteria to another folder. Its order needed to be elevated
above another filter (rule).

Have you recently rebuilt the database? This will cause entourage to
re-download all of the mail on the server.

Hello,

I have recently begun using Entourage 2004 on my Mac running OS 10.3. In the
past few weeks Entourage has started duplicating messages from my IMAP
account. In some instances the messages appear 3 or 4 times. I am not running
any filters or rules, so I don't understand why this has suddenly developed.
Of course it won't allow me to delete the duplicates, either. Any assistance
would be most appreciated. Thanks! Inez

I started having the same problem today (Entourage 2004, OS 10.3.8,
IMAP/.Mac account). Right-clicking the Inbox and selecting Repair Message
List -- or Splat-L -- fixes it temporarily. Weird...

Thanks Jeffrey. That cleared up all the pesky duplicates, and I guess I'll
just have to wait and see what happens next. But at least now I know how to
repair the list. Cheers!
