I just bought a new MacPro 2.33 G and transfered all my info from the
old G4. Entourage did not transfer all my emails and I am having
problems retrieving e-mail from my different accounts. It did not
transfer my addresses either.
How is Office x behaiving with the Mac Pros. I do not want to buy the
new Office since I already have the x. Can I just buy an upgrade?

To transfer the data across you just need to copy the 'Microsoft User Data'
folder from your old 'Documents' folder to your new one.

After starting entourage for the first time you _may_ have to choose 'switch
identity' from the Entourage menu.

Now, what problems are you having with the different accounts?

I am not seeing my response, I guess I responded to your email as
oppossed to the public forum. As I said, I did already copied the
Microsoft User Data folder to the main Identity. See, when I
transfered my old computer's data onto the new it created a new
Identity. But the main identity worked better with certain of the
programs. Entourage was working well until I transfered into the main
identity. Now it seems as if I was a new user.

Sorry, I am not understanding what you mean. Can you re-phrase it in a
different way?

When I bought the computer and started it a main identity was created.
When I transfered my old computer's files yet another identity was
created. Today, assisted by an Apple technitian, I tried merging the
two identities into the main one. As part of that process the
Microsoft User Data was transfered from my Documents onto the main
idetity. Entourage was unable to transfer all of its' contents.

The new main identity is normal. If no identity can be found when any office
app starts up, a new one will always be created.

created.

Do you mean that you copied the documents folder over, including the MUD
folder? In that case, was your previous identity called something other than
"Main Identity"? This is the default, which would have been created when you
first started. This identity name would then be registered in the
application preferences, and if you then replace the MUD folder with a
different set of identity names then a new 'main identity' may be created
again.

All you would need to do in this case would be to 'switch identity'.
Today, assisted by an Apple technitian, I tried merging the
two identities into the main one. As part of that process the
Microsoft User Data was transfered from my Documents onto the main
idetity. Entourage was unable to transfer all of its' contents.

If the identity can be opened, all the data should be there. It's an 'all or
nothing' thing.

Do you know what steps the Apple Technician took to try and combine them.

The Apple Technician walked me through the copy and paste of all the
folders in the home of the second identity into the Public Folder;
logged off and then in the Main Identity I pasted them over to the
respective divisions; desktop, movies, music, documents including MUD
folder.
