Entourage X Permanently Delets Messages in Deleted Items Folder

I am running Panther, Entourage X with latest update and I connect to an
Exchange 2000 server. When I delete a message from Entourage it goes to the
deleted items folder. After a week, it gets permanently deleted. I have
checked all settings relating to not emptying trash. This did not used to
happen, but now it does. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Look at schedules (under the tools menu). There is probably a schedule set
up to delete mail over 1 week old on shutdown. Either modify it to do
something different, disable it or delete it.
