Entourage X quitting when accessing e-mail on Powerbook G4 OS 10.2 lastest service packs

I am having a problem that just started occurring. Every time I try to
download e-mail, Entourage quits unexpectantly. I can navigate fine
within Entourage but the minute I try to access mail, Entourage quits.
I have reapplied the 10.1.4 Updater and the problem is still present.
The issue has just started. I do have Junk mail filtering enabled, but
have not had any issues with it . Any insight would be greatly
appreciated.

I've got exactly the same thing happening since yesterday. But no clue
either, I'm sorry. The Exchange server was checked upon, but is doing fine. I
will try to reinstall Office next.

Hi Gordon,

Try following trouble shooting steps.

-Try quitting all other opened applications and try downloading the mails.
-Try deleting the Entourage preferences. This file can be found in the
following location.
<Harddisk> / Users/Home folder/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Entourage
Preferences.
-If you access you mail to Outlook Web Access the check for the mail size,
sometimes if mail contains any attachment and if the attachment size is
large then you face such issues. try deleting that particular mail through
OWA and relaunch Entourage and try downloading mails.

Recently, malformed junk mail has exploited a bug in the Junk Mail Filter
included with Entourage X and 2001 that causes the entire program to crash
when Entourage attempts to download and process the message. Microsoft has
posted a workaround at their web site:

Entourage 2004 includes improvements that allows it to download most of the
commonly-received junk messages that crashed earlier versions. There is no
corresponding update for Entourage 2001 or X.

Be aware that there are some types of messages that will crash any version
of Entourage regardless of whether the Junk Filter is turned on or off. If
you are crashing on receiving mail, it is likely happening because of a
corrupt message on the server. Work through the steps on the "Crashes" page
on The Entourage Help Page to resolve the problem.

Hey,

I'm having the same problem but more specifically it quits when checking
one email address. The other three load fine then it quits while checking
the fourth.

I tried the preferences thing and it didn't help.
