Entourage08 hyperlinks aren't working?

Hello:

Any ideas why I can no longer click on a properly formatted URL
(http://www.siteaddress.com) and the site then automatically launches in a
browser (Safari)?

FYI, when I drag/drop the URL text to the desktop, it is still recognized as
a browser file format (.webloc).

Thank you very much,
Terry

PS -- I recently upgraded to Ent2008 (12.1.7) as well as Mac OS 10.5.7 with
no other issues (yet).

In my experience using E 2004, usually those links work, but sometimes they
don't. I haven't been able to pin down what occasionally causes them to
fail, but usually they start working again later. :-/

Okay, please don't laugh, however, I have figured out what I did wrong. I
inadvertently changed my Safari prefs to make my "Default web browser" to be
"Entourage." Big fat DUH!

SIDE NOTE: Is there a way to have Safari point to "Entourage" instead of
Apple Mail when using the "Mail contents of this page" command? This would
avoid me having to switch back and forth to my "Default web broswer"
setting.

Regards,
Terry

Most likely it's because Entourage is not set as your default mail
application. HOWEVER, if you do, you'll get this error message.

"Safari can't create an email message because Microsoft Entourage doesn't
support sending web pages from Safari"

To set Entourage as default, in Entourage 2008 it's now an option in
Entourage preferences --> General. Just click on the button to set as
default.

Best method to share a web page is to send the URL and let them view in
their browser.

Tip: Sometimes when you click on a URL it doesn't activate. If you
Command-click this will cause the link to open in your browser.
