Is it possible to import the address book pictures from the address book.app
to the entourage address book?
I found some nice tools but they don´t take the pictures to entourage.
If the tools you found are AppleScripts, they can't do it. There _is_ a way
in Entourage, by scripting vCard data, but that isn't importable into or
exportable from Address Book.app by script, where it's not scriptable. But
it can be done:
If you have my "Sync Entourage-Address Book" script, take a look at the
ReadMe, section 10. It explains that you can import the pictures by _first_
importing via vCard. You can export all your contacts from Address Book.app
by selecting them all (in "All" column), then via File/Export vCard... to
your desktop. That creates a single .vcf file which can be imported into
Entourage by dragging it in, or double-clicking it, when its own Address
Book is open. You'll get all the pictures. But you'll also get some errors
(some wrong phone fields) and missing fields if use use more than just the
basic fields. You can then run my script _not_ in One-Way mode - just use
the default - but as First Run with Address Book.app precedent. The detailed
instructions are in the ReadMe. To avoid duplicates you should do the vCard
import before Entourage has the same contacts form some other means.
