Entourage2004 exchange-not all mail visible

I have 2 problems with Entourage2004 and exchange servers

1 not all mail is visible in the inbox - ie 'read receipts' never show
up, yet connecting to same server but as an IMAP client all are there!
Makes me woory i may miss some other email.
Any ideas what is casing this? I have rebuilt the database but this did
not solve the problem

2 I can never get Entourage2004 to QUIT, first time. If you select QUIT
you just get the 'spinning beach ball' which means you have to either
force quit or I have found using the the 'tab key' to select the
Entourage2004 and then using 'command Q' will eventully alow a normal
quit - it looks like something is happening in the background.
I have seen other suggestions here about checking scheldues etc and have
rebuilt the database but no fix so far.

You should try letting the applciation in its spinning beachball mode
for much longer at least once... I used to have the same problem but it
turned out the applciation wasn't hung, it was just taking FOREVER to
sync my data with the server and update all the huge projects with
zillions of contacts and related e-mails I had created to test the
function out.

Would you by any chance also have projects in which you added numerous
contacts and e-mails ??
