EntourageX->Outlook2003

As simply as possible, I want to transfer all EntourageX information,
i.e., Contacts, Groups, Calendar Events, Tasks, Notes, Messages,
Folders, Accounts, Signatures, Mailing Lists and Categories, to
Outlook 2003.

From a PISMO powerbook running 10.2.8 to a Windows XP laptop running
MS Office 2003 Professional Edition, I have noticed Paul Berkowitz'
highly-touted Export-Import Entourage, version 1.3.1, while searching
this group's archives prior to posting.

However, it appears necessary with Paul's solution for transferring
information from
Entourage to Outlook to run myriad scripts AND set up an IMAP account
@ http://www.MyRealBox.com for transferring mail.

My question: Is Paul's solution the most efficient, reliable solution
for transferring Entourage to Outlook? I'm hoping for a seamless
conversion with all parts intact.

If Paul's solution is the most reliable and efficient method, which
converters among the many included in the download are needed to
complete the task addressed in this request?

According to Paul's ReadMe, I have gather I'll need the Outlook
Converters only: "The Outlook Converters provided here are not
compiled scripts, like the Entourage scripts, but script applications.
They do not go into any script menu. All the Outlook Converters are
"droplets": you drag and drop the relevant file onto the script icon,
and the script runs and converts the file, or you can double-click
them and find the file when asked.
The Outlook converters — both Export and Import — do everything
needed. No extra manipulations are needed. Keep them all in the same
subfolder — Outlook Converters X — so that the Reset Outlook Dialogs X
script can find them easily if required."

Wow, I never thought migrating from one MS product to the other would
force me to have to run scripts not included with either Entourage or
Outlook.

Thank you very much for suggestions and advice,
MIke

I am trying to transfer messages + contacts from Entourage 2004 to
Outlook 2003. Is it even possible?

If you have an Exchange account, it's simple. If you don't have one from
your business, you might want to think about getting a hosted Exchange
account from an Exchange-friendly ISP.

Dave,

Thank you for the reply.
Where can I find the Exchange procedure?

Thanks again,

Actually if it's a one time transfer, you're probably better off using Paul
Berkowitz's Export-Import scripts.
