Entrouage repeatedly downloads all mail

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Power PC
Email Client: Exchange

Entourage downloads all of my email off the server - like it was the first time that I have opened the app. Consequently, every time that I open Entourage, I get 1406 emails coming in.

To stop it downloading, I work "off-line" and then close the app.

I have even used my time machine back to a point where I thought all of this started about a week ago. That does not seem to stop it.

Oh, additional information... Checked email via web service, there are no duplicate emails present.

I would create a new Identity in Entourage and let your account sync. This
should clear any problems if your Identity is at fault. Recommended reading:
